For those of you with specialty crops or smaller fields, the smaller and lighter Patriot® 2240 – a Class 2, self-propelled sprayer – may be a perfect fit. It offers narrower track spacing than its larger family members and boasts more ground clearance than any competitive sprayer in its class. Have you been looking for something like this?
Using Agronomic Design to determine your needs, the Patriot 2240 utilizes a cab-forward, rear-engine configuration for optimum weight distribution to minimize compaction and rutting. You get near-equal weight distribution no matter if you have a full or empty tank. According to field tests, this allows you to get in fields two or three days sooner than when using a competitive sprayer.
The AIM Command® spray technology system delivers consistent application rates and consistent spray pressure, offering better coverage and drift control to make sure plants get only what they need. Other application features include the option of two boom lengths and two different plumbing configurations.
Even new operators can easily handle the sprayer. The optional AFS AccuGuide™ helps simplify chemical application to minimize skips and overlaps. The best-in-class trailing-link suspension offers a superb ride, and the three-speed hydrostatic transmission provides smooth, reliable shifting and efficient transfer of engine power to the ground.
The sprayer is powered by a 165-HP, 6.7-liter Case IH FPT Tier 4A-compliant engine. This Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR)-only system can deliver fuel savings of up to 10 percent over Tier 3 engines.
