Today’s blog post is guest-written by Brandon Whitt, a Case IH customer from Murfreesboro, Tenn. He recently participated in the Partners in Agricultural Leadership (PAL) program, which is facilitated by the American Farm Bureau Federation. This year’s PAL class took a trip to Brazil to learn more about the agriculture industry and how agriculture can be affected on a global scale. This year’s theme for National FFA Week is Ignite and it embraces more than 80 years of FFA traditions while looking forward to the organization’s future. This week, more than half a million members will participate in National FFA Week activities at local, state and national levels. It is a time to reflect on the success of the many chapters, the numerous friendships that have developed among fellow members and the impact of agriculture throughout the nation. (more…)

The all-expenses paid educational conference is offered to those currently enrolled in or who have recently graduated from a two- or four-year college or university. Participants learn about new farm business opportunities, gain an understanding of how banks view farming operations and establish a network of business professionals who are pursuing a career in production agriculture. The 86th National FFA Convention – held last week in Louisville, Ky., – featured all the excitement, pageantry and inspiration this annual event is known for, as well as achieved record-setting attendance of 62,998 students, teachers and guests.
