Fully integrated Case IH Advanced Farming Systems® (AFS) technology helps producers maximize their return on investment and maximize short windows during critical seasons. Using only the AFS Pro 700 control center, producers can seamlessly interface with multiple new technology upgrades available in 2014.
For the majority of Case IH Magnum™ tractor owners and field conditions, AFS AccuGuide™ factory settings consistently deliver outstanding performance. Some producers with variable soil conditions may need to adjust their settings with support from their local Case IH dealer. With a few minor adjustments, they can achieve improved autoguidance performance.
The new D-gain function in AFS AccuGuide allows the system to better anticipate where the tractor is headed, instead of relating back in time to its last known location. This added predictability and reliability are particularly beneficial to producers working in loose soil or strip-till situations. With the help of your local Case IH specialist, the D-gain parameters can be adjusted based on specific field conditions. It is available through a software upgrade for all Magnum models.
In addition, Magnum operators will soon have the capability to adjust AFS AccuGuide for better control and responsiveness in changing conditions. Separate adjustments will be available for online aggressiveness, the rate at which the tractor responds while online, versus for line acquisition aggressiveness, or the rate the tractor reacquires the guidance line after turning in a headland.
